Is he the guy in the tracksuit with TD initials ?

No flies on you MM.

Good one, but I genuinely don't know who he is and what his job title is

Apparently he does a lot of whirling.

Name names then... which experienced manager who would seriously consider joining Crawley Town FC in league 2... is not a gamble..?

scratch

For the record: I think John Still is an honest professional who has done wonders in his time at various clubs, but I would struggle to get anywhere near unanimous support for his appointment.

I think the reality is any manager would have those for and against. When SE was appointed I was sceptical, however he got the job done including respectable finishes in the pre-money days.

Garry Hill (leaving Woking after another budget cut) is of a similar ilk. Has managed to find a few gems and keep WFC going with their sale. Also, he has never been relegated so surely a plus. Though he has never managed in the FL, so a bigger risk than JS.

Am I right in thinking that Hill considers Chris Arthur to be a good player?

Do you mean as a part time Conference player or a full time League 2 player?

That is true.

Don't think he would be a great fit, but he is local and used to working on a budget. Can see him ending up in the NLS/Ryman Premier with a team looking for promotion, rather than at the Broadfield.

Personally, I think we should look at some decent Non-league managers used to working on a budget, proven track record and with a hunger to do well at League Two level. Not sure who that would be though!

I'd steer away from Hill and/or Still. Don't get me wrong, I think Still is a decent bloke and manager - the amount of gems he's discovered is very impressive.

I just think we should be looking for a slightly younger boss, with similar experience. The game's changing these days and I'd be worried Hill/Still have perhaps something of a prehistoric approach.

There's also a reason Luton got shot of him and a reason Hill's never got away from Conference football - granted Evans stopped him in those infamous circumstances during their Boston and Dagenham days all those years ago.

Speaking of age, I was more than a bit surprised to discover that the youth team coach at BHA is a certain Vic Bragg - ask your Dad Warren - who was the oldest swinger in town back in his playing days with us. Shocked

names will increase at close season so there's no mad rush to appoint NOW!

I would expect every Crawley supporter will be fully behind Matt tomorrow.

With Evans and Raynor trying to wind him up, will be really interesting. I hope that he is also on the subs bench.
