Let's not mess about on this one and make him our first signing for next season.

I think he's been great since his return and offers something different. Collins and Murphy can genuinely cause problems.

Agree with this. Sign him up DD. We need three decent strikers at the club if we are going to push on next season. Collins is top notch. Murphy has been great for us in two spells now. Time to get him on a permanent deal.

It looks as though it maybe just me, but I've been seriously underwhelmed by his performances, certainly compared to last season.

I appreciate Collins is the main striker, and as such his role is different to his previous spell, but for me he's busy while being largely ineffective.

Disagree totally. Very disappointed. Expected more after last season. Count up the number of shots he has had.

Murphy was outstanding last season, when some of our so-called strikers - Deacon, Tomlin & Barnard - may as well have texted in their performances.

But this season I'm really impressed at how he always tries to make something happen, even when it is just not ticking for us and would like to see him retained.

Particularly when you consider that he's playing in more of a number 10 role than the number 9 role he would prefer.

When you consider that he's only made an appearance in 11 games this season and manages more shots than any other player other than Collins I'd say he's done pretty well in comparison.

I'm a Murphy fan. Although is current goals per games tally is poor, I'm still in the "Sign" camp

Think he's been brilliant from what I've seen of him, be good to see him play further up front rather than central midfield.
