Newport County

On the 1st April we travel abroad, so have your passports ready for checking at the Welsh border, when we travel to Newport County –

We depart from the stadium at 9.30am – we will be arranging a buffet at the Major’s Retreat in Tormanton on the way to the game where we stopped for the Bristol Rovers cup match earlier in the season.

Cost for this trip is Adults £20.00 and under 16’s £10 – we aim to be at the pub for Midday – from their it’s just under the hour to Newport.

Contact either Alain (07771792346) or Patrick via Twitter/Facebook to book on

Update 9th March

20 booked on the coach

Thanks to all who travelled to Newport - everyone turned up for the earlier departure - a full coach with no spare seats - the trips were not to disruptive - went alternative route to avoid the M4 closure via Basingstoke and Newbury on the way down and then came off at junction 14 to avoid the queue coming off at junction 13 on the M4 - back for 9pm having had a short time at Fleet Services for a comfort break

We had another excellent buffet lunch provided by the Major`s Retreat. It's a pity that we will probably miss going there next season if Newport get relegated and we don't play either of the Bristol sides. Could do with Forest Green Rovers getting promoted from the conference.

If only the team could have played with a bit more belief and taken the game to the opposition.
