I get quite confused with this. The two teams, with the ground sharing and shirt colour sharing are so inbred, I find it hard to accurately differentiate the two.
Was it Town or United through the '80's??

The club that were rivals for a number of years, including being in the Southern League Premier from 1992 - 1999, was Hastings Town, but they changed their name to Hastings United in 2002. The original Hastings United went out of business in 1985.

I've always enjoyed our Sussex Senior Cup ties (as well as the Sussex Floodlight Cup ties going back a little further). Couldn't have asked for a better draw in my opinion.

With our relatively small squad, we should see a fairly strong side too, can't wait!

With 24 players we must have one of the biggest squads in League 2. We could afford to (and probably will) give some of the fringe players a run, maybe Tomlin and Oyebanjo will be ready.

My mistake. Just feels small due to the injuries we have had and the fact we have struggled to put a full bench together!

I'm still looking forward to it as it will be good to see some of the fringe players who are coming back from injury trying to get back in/around the 1st XI.

Also, it can't be any worse than Whitehawk last year...

Whenever a certain town on the Sussex Coast is mentioned, I always feel compelled to remind people of a simple undisputed fact that I have been aware of from many years of standing on the so-called terraces of Town Mead, namely that....

Shocked

"We hate Hastings and we hate Hastings
We hate Hastings and we hate Hastings
We hate Hastings and we hate Hastings
We ARE the Hastings..... Haters...!"

Too right matey! Predated any of the Dover, Welling, Kingston rivalries and always an 'interesting' trip to the Pilot Field in those days.
