The FA have done their best to devalue the prestige of their own FA Cup competition... but can you ever beat moments like this last minute wonder-strike... straight out of The Hotspur.. as... keeper scores overhead kick..!

Encouraging Man Utd to go to Brazil instead of competing in it...

...allowing weakened teams to be played in it with league & European competitions taking priority

...having Premier League matches on the same day as the final

...having Premier League matches playing at the same time on the same day as the final

...allowing teams who finish 4th in the Premier League to qualify for a more prestigious & lucrative European competition

...allowing ITV anywhere near it...!

dontknow

Don't forget this season it's the 'Emirates FA Cup', rather than 'The FA Cup sponsored by....'

that video reminded me of Jimmy Glass and his heroic goal that kept Carlisle in the football league and made me wonder if Freddie Woodman is any good in attack, we might need him in fact tehre were fansd Saturday versus Stanley willing him forward our outfield players were that dire!

Yet the media haven't really noticed it... can't help feeling that if Kiko Casilla had scored it for Real Madrid it would constantly appear on every sports bulletin...?

scratch

And another gripe with the FA... distribution of cup final tickets... sure it is commendable that they want to give tickets to the grassroot committee members & suchlike... but why not give them England tickets over the calendar year, they might even prefer them..(?)

...and it lets the FA hand a decent percentage to the actual fans of the clubs that are in the final... likely it is too radical an idea for those blazers to get their heads around..!

Surely giving out England tickets could dissuade people from being active at local levels just in case they got punished by one of those tickets?

Maybe split the distribution up between League and FA cup.
