Why do Crawley stuff about so much Simpson and Younga are more than capable in this league and better than the dross we will end up with in July. Offer them proper contracts for God sake . |

Seems a sensible approach to me.
Two players who were out for a long time from injury and one who did ok but was clearly not match fit.
If they start the season well then I'm sure we will extend. If not they won't be tying up budget. By the sounds of it Youga has priced himself out anyway. |

I'm sure if they prove their fitness and play well the club will extend/improve their contracts. |

We do need a 'keeper,too.
I still think Brian Jensen would be more than capable at League 2 level.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Josh ended up at Cambridge. |

I imagine that's down to whether he wants to move house or not. He seems quite settled in EG. |

It's the way we do it . No one with any credibility could seriously say that Simpson and Yonga wouldn't be more than capable at our level. Better than most.
But the club comes with some crappy short term deal knowing full well they will reject it.
It's a Dumass way of saying we tried but don't complain when we sign a load of inferior rubbish mid July.
I will tell you now three of the nine signed on will also be moved on before kick off and we will end up with a *beep* poor squad assembled at the last minute which will take until Christmas to learn each other's names. |

Ah yes, like you told us Worthington and Beattie were going to be manager. And, hang on, that was after your "decent source" told you DS was staying.
Still as you aren't renewing your ST it won't be too much of an issue for us.
Why does the club need enemies when it has "supporters" like you, eh. I'm beginning to wonder if RRR has two handles. |

Agree with most of that. The last paragraph is a bit over dramatic and pessimistic, but the rest you are on the money. Dunford will come out and say 'well we offered the players deals and they rejected them, it's not my fault they've left' completely failing to mention the deals offered were *beep* poor ones that he knew they would reject. Just like last season with Sads, Bulman, Sergio etc. |

Yeah, let's tie them all into one year deals, only for MY to say they aren't part of his plans.
Good move by the club IMO. Let them prove they are fit and willing to play for the club.

Partly agree but Yates background at this level provides optimism that he won't take the Gregory route if signing anyone who turns up for a trial. I think he is more likely to have specific targets in mind. Jimmy Dack will also helo here if he is our Assistant. |
