Well!!!

1st game for two years....Dont I pick em.

It was Mrs Coaches 1st game watching Crawley, great advert huh.

The only good thing was we got a freebee in the main stand..... still think I was robbed.

Men agaist boys has been mentioned, Smith has been mentioned, he was shocking, standing off giving to much space.

Nobody pressing at all, giving away far to much time on the ball.

McLeod cut a lonely fiqure upfront, little support but tried for a while, but gave up early in the 2nd half and who can blame him.

Fowler when he came on looked like he can play a bit.

Price did not command his box at all, the 2nd goal was a farce.

Best momment was the wag in the seat behind us, when a Donny free kick was given " you take it Ref " and "we were lucky to be given the kick off"

Sad day.

Even sadder...Thinking about going Saturday and.....Paying Shocked

Oh and I stayed for every minute Crying or Very sad

I'd say its unlucky. At least that would have entertained!

What are the odds, FIVE goals against the run of play... Laughing

(Have to laugh, the alternative is crying...)

Joe Walsh needs to make a public apology for losing his head and abandoning his team when they needed leadership. A bigger/better side would strip him of the captaincy for that.

Also a word on the low attendance, too many freebies going unused, couldn't even give away tickets to watch such a shambolic side. No hunger, no fight, no desire.

Undeniably a shocking performance last night but surprised at some of the hyperbole on this thread. The club is dead? Hardly, we just have the quality of squad that our attendances pay for, simple as that. Did people really think we would stay in League 1 for years and years... A club our size is lucky to experience a level like this for one season, playing the level of club that we consistently do week in week out. Always blows my mind how little perspective Crawley fans, on the whole, have abut our history and where we have come from.

Admittedly one thing that would be nice to see from this bunch of players is a bit of effort, even if we now know they don't have the required quality.

There are lots of buzzwords being banded about on this thread like "passion" and "effort". I genuinely don't think there's a lack of any of those things. What is lacking is quality.

For the whole 90 minutes last night Izale ran himself into the ground chasing every lost cause, Gwion did the same as did Ryan Dickson. They weren't lacking effort. Marvin Elliot threw himself into tackle after tackle, he didn't lack any effort either.

Jimmy Smith is an abysmal footballer and last night was possibly his worst performance yet but it doesn't mean he wasn't trying. Nobody is that bad deliberately (other than Bruce Grobelaar)

Joe Walsh behaved like an absolute idiot in making the tackle he made but he certainly didn't lack "passion". If anything he showed a bit too much.

The players are trying but ultimately they are nowhere near good enough for this level.

The fact that terrible footballers were brought to the club in the 1st place lies in 3 areas. The board who appointed the manager, the manager who brought them here and the the scout who recommended them to the manager

Heaviest home league defeat since 6-1 loss to Steve Evans' Boston United in 2000... I was there for that one and it was actually a laugh because they were so much better than us (and anyone else in the league) it was untrue.

Sadly the same cannot be said for Doncaster who may, at best, scrape into the play-offs.

Thankfully I haven't witnessed any of this season's shambles, and I won't be rushing back soon either.

Brillant entertainmet last night.where else can you see 11 clowns against 11 footballers 5 goals and a sending off for free.
Honestly this is the worst I have seen in 35 years, the club have ripped the heart out of the supporters now no one gives a t*ss.

Your 35 years and raise my 50+ years1

Never in all those years have I seen such consistent lack of pride, passion, heart and endeavour from a Crawley Town team, last night was the cherry on the cake of a totally embarrassing and underwhelming season. I can forgive lack of skill, but seemingly lack of effort -never.

I offer you one positive from last nights horror show - the pitch still looks good!

Lets go down in a blaze of glory...!

If we can only launch killer balls and not play thru midfield then lets set up to do it properly... Pogba as the spearhead with Izale & Gwion close behind..(?)

But Thad, that would involve more than one striker.

This is just not in Groves's coaching and tactics manual.......

No one likes to lose 0-5.
But, at least if the team plays a very attacking game having a right go, say with 3 strikers, the sorrow would no be so great.

Thad- e mail your selection and tactics to the club. I think you could do a job as Interim Interim Manager. If we win, you will be a legend in your own ninety minutes. (Or more of a legend than you already are Laughing )
