Apparently not good enough for Forest Green last season but is for Leeds! I am not convinced by this Director of Football approach that a number of clubs have. It is not the traditional English way of being successful. It works in some countries but not over here.

So who wouldn't do a months work then pick up payoff for 2 year contract when he gets the inevitable bullet? |

I don't suppose you've got a link to any potential vacancies like this one, I think I'd like to apply .......... |

By coincidence... exactly the same amount of days that another European cup winning manager was in charge of Leeds.. Jock Stein..! |

I must admit to being in two minds about this appointment.
One, a non-league manager gets a step up to a major club. Recognition of a person who has done well at a lower level and promoting them.
Two, how can a failure at one level get a job at a higher level? Think about it. I'm no good as your workmate but get promoted to your boss!
Where do I find Thad's head scratching emotion?

I thought I read somewhere he had a decent record as a coach (as opposed to manager).
It seems a strange appointment but you never know. |

It used to be called the 'Civil Service'.....
To get rid of someone useless you promoted them, usually to another department!
