Fair enough. Assume it's a modest contract, he tried hard tonight against physically bigger / stronger players. He got stuck in and looks like he has a decent fitness levels.

Since seeing him at Billingshurst, I thought he would be worth a punt - he is not an in your face midfielder but has that uncanny ability for the ball to stick and he rarely wastes a pass. I think he will score some key goals.

Sort of this.

I can normally see a player and figure if he will make it at the level we are playing (big headed ain't I) but this bloke would do things and I'd think nah. Then he'd do something else and I'd change my mind.
