I thought Lewis Young went well and Leacock probably would be decent cover for a number of positions with his experience It's dificult to to tell on that sort of pitch against the standard Billingshurst are at but couldn't really say any others trialists impressed.
Of the players signed on Simpson Henderson and Smith looked good in midfield but we clearly need a couple more who can do a job there to a decent level.
The lad from Rovers looks a big aggressive type but need to see him against some defenders. |

Did ok difficult to judge really, keen to shoot which is a good sign but as expected touch was off a bit. Plus the pitch was obviously not great.
The Dutch centre back was solid Balkanstien ? . Bradley was least impressive of the four centre back today but early days. |

Not sure what you can learn from games like that.
Of the trialists Marsden (from Liverpool, Ferry anyone?) looked ok, O'Connor maybe, Hislop and Noble had something about them and Gomez seemed neat but needs a decent barber(says me) but how can you judge, say, a centre half when they are playing against a striker who plays at a much lower level? And I mean no disrespect in that statement.
Pleasant evening watching a kick about. Would have been nicer if I didn't have to drive and could have had a beer or ten.

Really hard to tell against so low level opposition but I was impressed by Henderson, looks quality. |

Did make me wonder mind the *beep* that we are trialing two centre backs with three already signed whether Walsh may be leaving.
Not sure we can justify four contracted centre backs. |

Do you actually WANT Walsh to leave ?, you don't seem to be able to say anything else
The idea of strengthening a side is to look at players that MAY be better than those you have, would you rather JG sat back and ignored anyone else that may be out there ?, I bet you'd soon be moaning if he did nothing and never looked at any alternative players |

At least 'Drurry' won't be a problem any more.
Imagine if Magnus Okuonghae came back. |

I think most of us struggled with that one,if we are being honest.
I admit to referring to him simply as Magnus.

I admit to calling him sh#t, especially when the ball was at his feet but he has gone on to have a decent career.

I am sure he had all the right letters but not necessarily in the right order? |
