In principle that's 100% correct. However they often undo some of those good intentions by scheduling the televised games at times that make it both very difficult for away fans to travel, or for floating home fans to decide to go down to the match.
Imo, looking on at an away terrace that contains 15 away fans, as in the Torquay v Histon Sunday Evening game, or having the cameras focus on the 7 or 8 Farsley fans in the midweek evening game at Woking, just gives free ammunition to those who think of non-league as pub football.
Farsley to Woking on a week-night. I mean, come on. |

well the reason i asked is cos i have read:
"I asked the bar staff before the Greys game and they said the Redz bar will be showing the game"
"Redz is shut tonight."
So there is obviously some confusion.... |

So why would anyone want to stand on a cold Sunday night paying to watch it.
I honestly cannot see any good in this sort of set up.

Editing the comments it seems we agree once again Steve.
Moderator edit: it's just a shame that you couldn't edit the comments to get the quoting right... ...once again |
