We were so bad that I could fully understand it. I thought the announcer was from Sussex FA anyway not BHA. |

I guess because the Sussex FA are meant to be neutral in these matters? |

Luckily half the south stand had emptied and there were 'no' falmer fans or a backlash couldve occurred. A hope Crawley as a club make an official complaint. |
If your complaint is in writing, they may be laughing too |

Is there any suggestion they weren't neutral? |

You said you thought the announcer was from the Sussex FA. So probably shouldn't be laughing when announcing a goal. If he was the BHA announcer, I could understand it. |

The announcer was from the Sussex fa, certainly not the usual bloke when Brighton play.
He is supposed to have a neutral take on things surely???
He described us as "Crawley" and Brighton as "The Albion".
I took the same view as RRR in that we were being treated as an "away" team in what was supposed to be a neutral Sussex county final.
The whole thing was bang out of order and in the end did me a favour in not witnessing the sad end of our current regime. |

I didn't really think he was laughing at us. Big overreaction IMHO.
I thought it was funnier how the old fool kept referring to penalties 'kicks from the penalty mark'.
What I did find a shame was that each club could have had a half of the West Stand. There was plenty of room and might have been more atmosphere. Then again the Sussex FA always seem to struggle with these things. |

I'm pretty sure the announcer was the same one who was announcer at the semi final down at Lancing.
I think Sussex FA should take a hard look at themselves, it was by no means neutral with us stuffed in a corner and "the Albion" fans in the posh seats along the side.
Also the announcer was very partisan , but if we had scored he may have gave us similar affection in his voice, we'll never know now.
The game is over , the season is nearly over, time to look forward .
come on you reds ! |

Are we really getting all upset at the tone of the stadium announcer?

At least it highlights the announcers role in the game calling them that. Law 10 section 3 |
