Can you talk us through what a great job Martin Allen did at Eastleigh?

If Dermott Drummy has a future at Crawley Town he needs to have a major rethink on the best way to take the club forward. It could mean he will need to step aside and take a position he is much more familar with, ie developing youth players in some kind of accademny that would suit the clubs needs.
As far as a new manager is concerned I'd like to see DD phone he's good mate John Yems and see if he fancies leaving Bournmouth and being the manager of Crawley Town.

Maybe John Gregory should be brought back.

Simon Weatherstone is a first team coach at Bournemouth as well. If he's had a hand in creating that brand of football it'd be more than welcome here.

Always liked Weatherstone when he played for us but probably too early for him and a gamble from us to appoint him. What's Steve Cotterill or even SOD up to these days?

Definitely not Allen or Graham Westley.

Steve Cotterill has just joined Harry Redknapp at Birmingham - I think I read in yesterday's paper.

Forget SOD. He hasn't lasted a year in any of his last 6 jobs. Even Wiki describes him as a "former manager"....

Will be interesting to see what happens at Birmingham in the summer. Hard to think of anyone available in the summer who I'd like at CTFC. Cotterill the first name that came to mind.

Amazing how SOD's stock has fallen in the last four or five years since leaving us, especially considering he was assistant to Rodgers at Liverpool a couple of seasons back.

Speaking of ex-managers, is anyone else surprised MY hasn't had a gig since leaving us? Could keep teams in the EFL if not a lot else. Last heard he was scouting for Portsmouth.

SOD had us playing good football briefly (when we had players who could manage it) but left a bad taste.

He managed us for three pre-season friendlies. So "briefly" is certainly appropriate.

I'm sorry to see DD go really. He wanted the team to play more attractive football but the cutting edge was not there. Probably too nice a person to be a football manager. Anyway it sounds like the bag of money to pay him off will be delivered this week.

I wondered at the time if the club got rid of Yates too soon as he has a good record with clubs in our league and he had to manage with very little funds and inherited some pretty poor players.
