They reckon on the sutton united forum that he is too good for the conference and that there are a host of league clubs queuing up to sign him , including a side in league 1....

He started well with us but did nothing after Christmas. Maybe Ok for League 2 but nowhere near League 1 standard.

I have seen Sutton several times this season and Deacon has consistently impressed. He seems a different player from the one we had, albeit that he is playing at one level down.

Also Matt Tubbs did well for Sutton on Saturday, held up play, brought others into the game and when his chance came he took it with aplomb.

Andy Drury has signed for Ebbsfleet.

Looking at his career, surely a player of his quality should have done better than what he has done.

Indeed I thought the same. The first time he was with us he was real quality.

I've always wondered why he's spent the majority of his career in non league and lower league, the bloke should be playing League 1 or Championship football regularly. He has a lot of talent. Far worse players have played at a higher level than him. I looked at Wes Thomas' wikipedia page the other day and the guy has managed to go from club to club playing regularly in the Championship and L1 when he's had one decent season 6 years where he scored 18 goals for L2 Cheltenham and has been stealing a living in the Championship and L1 ever since. Might have something to do with the quality of their agents?

Ben Hamer starts for Leicester City in the Champions League at Porto tonight.

His opposite number this evening? Iker Casillas!

Ten years ago he was playing for us in the Conference!

Wasilewski as a central defender is my guess.

Michael Bostwick scored a good goal in the same game.
