Just announced on the club twitter feed and website...!
Quote: | Mark Yates and Jimmy Dack leave Crawley Town
The club would like to announce the departure of Manager Mark Yates and Assistant Manager Jimmy Dack with immediate effect.
Firstly, we would like to thank Mark and Jimmy for the job they have done this season. Mark and Jimmy have worked hard for the club. However, the recent form and performance of the team suggests change is needed.
We wish Mark and Jimmy the best of luck in their future challenges.
The board will be interviewing potential candidates in the next few days to make the right appointment to move the club forward. The days and weeks ahead will determine the right path for the club.
There will be no further comment from the club at this time.

For me personally, it's a shame, however I can't say I'm surprised.
It must of been a very tough season, behind the scenes. A lack of funds, a takeover and the training situation to name a few problems, I feel considering all this, MY has done OK.
He took Cheltenham to the play offs in league 2 a few years back with a budget and club around the same size as us, so he obviously knows the league. I would of liked to of seen how next season would of gone with a bit more money and a chance for him to of built a squad of his own, but obviously won't happen now.
Thanks to Mark and Jimmy for all their efforts. |

MY has done ok, but its been a very difficult season for him with everything that has gone on with the takeover.
I wish him and Jimmy Dack well.
I do wonder whether Mr Eren already has a management team already lined up. If not we may have matt Harrold as interim manager on Saturday |

I am surprised that this has happened now, rather than at the end of the season when more managers may be interested.
Good luck to Yates and Dack, I am on the 'they have done well and achieved targets for this season' camp. I too think that with a decent budget Yates could get us further.
We'll probably look for a League One capable manager now...... |

Well done Mark & Jimmy - you kept us in the league. No mean achievement.
Of course, the season unbeaten finishing as champions was the minimum required.
Good luck in your next roles. |

There is no doubt in my mind that they are both hardworking honest men. They have been a credit to Crawley.
Thanks for the effort chaps, sadly it's all about results.
I am sure they won't be out of work long. |

Understand the recent run of results but seems a very strange decision timing wise with 2 games remaining.................think there may already be a replacement management team lined up ready to step in!! Lets hope they've got experience of English football and L1/2 in particular. |

Pretty sure we will have someone lined up.
The choice of new manager will give a very clear steer as to where we are heading next year.
The right decision in my view. Just not enough progress in the team from the first game to the last. Plenty of endeavour but very poor to watch. |
