With all the questions around "HK Paul" it raised a point inmy head around the Fit and Proper person checks the FA run. Surely this individual if he owns any part of the club has to have been registered and checked somewhat?
Would seem a simple Freedom of Information check by one of our journo colleagues may satisfy the desire for identification..? |

Doesn't need a journo - it's on the club website. As it has to be
http://www.crawleytownfc.com/c.....index.aspx
But we know the Carters want to sell, we know HK Paul is interested and has financially supported the club in the past with money. But in terms of ownership he isn't one of them |

The current listed Directors are:
David L Pottinger (50% of shares)
Susan Carter (25% of shares)
Ian Carter (25% of shares)
Michael Dunford (Company Secretary)
See:
http://companycheck.co.uk/comp.....shareholde
This doesn't mean to say that they still have shares in or own the club. That information is much harder to find out.
The accounts up to 2013 give this information:
http://companycheck.co.uk/comp.....financials
They suggest at that time the club net worth is -860K |

But, don't the club have to show where the money comes from? Didnt some Premier League teams fall foul of "excessive" sponsorship deals which skewed the FFP issues?
Did I also read somewhere Dunford is Part Time only??? |

I would suggest that whilst DP is listed he is only in a "proxy" capacity. |

You mean HKP is giving him the cash to put in. Interesting arrangement. |

Is he? I had a meeting with Matt Turner, Dave Pottinger and Bruce Talbot not long ago before the Scunthorpe game and was told by Dave Pottinger that the 'far east consortium' were not interested in taking any control. |

taking control and owning the club are two different things. Clever use of words by the three you met |

The Carter's may want to sell but the club isn't worth anything.
Outgoings are surely greater than income. Unless you are rich, with money to burn and love football who would buy a football club? |

I do love the word "consortium." Can one bloke with deep pockets and a Midlands accent be described as such? Perhaps he doesn't want to own the club though-apparently the internet isn't working too well in the Far East at present, his empire may well be losing money... |

This old adage springs to mind, - how do you make a million from owning a football club ?? start off with two million !!!
Exit stage left. |
