Gregory out?

I say no.

Many would have done worse with such budget constraints.

Well said Bill - and - for the benefit of Mickf - we are still in League 1 and on our way to Wembley in the JPT!! We'll make mincemeat of Walsall Tuesday night - the Welsh Wizard is on fire!!

Changing manager would be a very costly exercise because as well as possible compensation, any new manager will want to bring in his own staff and players.

If we are not careful we will end up in a vicious cycle of changing managers that will end with us back in non-league. We all need to stick together and get behind the manager.

Continuity and stability is the only way forward in my view.

Most sense I've read in a while. I fully agree.

I wonder how much (if anything) we paid Barker in compensation? He took over at Portsmouth very shortly afterwards, so maybe not too much.

Not sure I totally share your confidence but let's see where we are in 3 league games. Too early to panic.

Just listened to Gregory's interview.

''it's not like us'

'the pressure isn't on once you're three nil down'

'Uncharacteristic from our point of view'

Is he for real?

The next 3 matches will be John Gregory's biggest test as Crawley boss.
If we do badly against Walsal and Gillingham then the home match against struggling Crewe will be of massive importance for JG and any future he has at this football club.
After 13 league matches Ive yet to be convinced by JG and his team.
He should be given more time though,at least 3 games anyway. Wink

I think I'd try a Groves out post!
Very Bournemouth like capitulation by the sound of it?!

Might be worth thinking about and cheaper, from an organisational side on the pitch (not only from corners) we look shambolic, very much like the appalling Bournemouth side who capitulated against us a couple of years ago when he was manager.
Maybe somebody with a more positive outlook, wanting to coach the players to play more aggresively and not sit back and wait for disaster to strike.
Then again maybe he just dishes out the oranges at half time?

Cheers Michael - save a glass for me!! What happened today - did we abandon the zonal marking? Or did we not bring everybody back for corners? Still, we're scoring goals for fun now - and remember - we haven't been relegated since the 69-70 season!! Nothing to worry about!

I think Notts Co. dozed off through boredom at 3-0?
The "zonal" marking sounded from what Steve Hollis was saying on the radio was more like "after you Claude"! Confused
