Central midfield, you need a combination of strength/creativity - we can do better than Mike Jones. Out wide, you need pace and flair (aka Gwion and Monakana) - we can do better than Mike Jones. |

Rumour has it that Mark Connolly is moving on too as his girlfriend has tweeted something along the lines of 'goodbye' this afternoon....

If Mark Connolly is going then i would say we should try and keep P Connolly. He is a decent right back and a lot of experience. We would miss P Connollys versatility and commitment . Would much prefer to keep him than Conor Esam .
Disagree about Mike Jones JG wanted to keep him but he wants to head back home. He has been decent for us this year has a lot of skill and high work rate. Think he will go to Rochdale by all accounts. |

Steve Hollis of The Argus has tweeted the following this evening...
Quote: | Talking to Gregory & Dunford after the game I've got a feeling the majority of the 12 out of contract @crawleytown players will be leaving |

Mark Connolly is a good centre half but mediocre right back. Just hope Fadz and Walsh stay fit next season. |

Paul said he won't be here next season, so did Billy, Mark & Sergio. |

Ditto Mike Jones, said the offer he had wasn't good and looking to move on. Was told outside same for Jamie but never heard it directly from him. |

It would be crazy to get rid of so many .
Sadler , P Jones, J Proctor, Bill Clarke and Mark Connolly are all worth retaining.
Why not release Conor Esam for example and retain Mark Connolly. Esam isn't any where near as good.
I just hope we aren't going to embark on mass changes for the sake of it and find we are brining in inferior players. That squad with a couple of additions and not been stuffed with the 19. Games in two months could have really challenged for the play offs. |

Connor Essam is under contract. We'd have to agree a pay off for him to go.
A bit of respect would be good in spelling his names correct. |

Jeez you can't help some people can you.
Connor Essam is under contract for next season. Gregory said that days ago. You can't release people that have a contract.
As for the others you can only keep them if they want to stay. As far as I'm aware most of them were offered and refused the terms. We can only pay what we can afford so it isn't really in out hands. |

But the main successes of 2013/14, that is, our defence and central midfield should be intact for 2014/15. The less successful areas ie wide midfield and upfront are rightly up for grabs. Hopefully for the first summer in a while we'll have a settled manager and finances in which to get things in place in good time for next season. |
